2011 AMCA National Specialty Show Awards.....

2012 Another AMCA TOP TWENTY Award and lands #3 BITCH in the country !!

What A Special Girl ....

Ava is a special girl who brings so much joy to our daily lives ....

Our beautiful foundation bitch Ava is queen of our house.  She has all of us wrapped around her toes.  Not only is she a fabulous top winning show dog, she is a great mom to her kids that we bred and kept here at Winter Park.  She runs with them, plays with them, works with them, shows with them, and recieves tons of ear licks from them. They all respect mom deeply.

Ava became an AKC Champion at 17 months old during a Specialty Show weekend in Waukesha, Wisconsin.  It was hard to finding the 9 bitches needed for a major on the east coast at that time, so we drove out.  Ava finished by taking Winners Bitch and Best of Winners from the Open class out of 23 bitches entered that weekend!  She also took both Reserves to the 5 point majors, including the Specialty !!

A couple of weeks later, Ava went on to become an International CHAMPION and BEST IN SHOW winner under renowed AKC Judge Mr. Richard Beauchamp.  That was pretty exciting, but she wasn't stopping there.  Shortly after, Ava followed that nice win with a Best of Opposite Sex in Specialty show (Great Lakes) at just 19 months old.

Today, Ava is a SILVER LEVEL Grand Champion and currently ranks #4 Lifetime Grand Champion Bitch in our breed, despite the new AKC program commencing 2 years after Ava's heavy campaigning.

Ava's show career was highlighted in 2011, where she was  AMCA's NATIONAL SPECIALTY SELECT BITCH WINNER, and BEST BROOD BITCH and BEST BRACE IN SHOW, as well as, a TOP TWENTY AWARD  recipient!  Continuing her winning momentum that year,  Ava won BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX at both the prestigious WESTMINSTER and EUKANUBA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP  shows and landed as AMCA'S #2 BITCH in the country.  Simultaneously that year while campaigning Ava, her 4 young kids from her first litter finished their AKC Championships!  Two of them at 9 months old, one at 10 months old and one at 13 months of age and all earned their Working Team Dog Titles too!  One of them, her daughter Abby went on to recieve an AWARD of MERIT ribbon at the same  NATIONAL SPECIALTY  at just 15 months old !!  We came away very proud !  WOW!  What a whirlwind of a year 2011 was for us, all of this exclusively Owner-handled !!  Ava continued her campaigning into 2012 and landed in our clubs TOP TWENTY event again and was AMCA's #3 Bitch in the country!

Ava is an AKC ALL Breed BEST IN SHOW Brace winner, teaming up with her  GCH son George for that special ribbon!  Those two did it again and this was their second BBS award, the first bring at the 2011 AMCA NATIONAL !

Ava has also recieved her Register of Merit ( ROM) and Register of Merit Working Dog (ROM-WD) designations - a rare combination- highlighting her qualities as a brood bitch, producing outstanding show and working dogs!

Ava has proven herself as a producer.  As mentioned, her first litter produced 4 AKC Champions.  To date, those Champion offspring have gone on to become AKC SILVER and BRONZE level GRAND Champions, MULti GROUP Winners and MULTI GROUP Placers, and have recieved MULTI AMCA TOP TWENTY AWARDS,  a NATIONAL  AWARD of MERIT, and Regional Specialty BOS, SELECT and SWEEPSTAKES ribbons.

Ava's young son GQ from her second litter is already an AKC BRONZE level GRAND CHAMPION and is making the ranks on the show circuit!  He is an AKC ALL Breed BEST IN SHOW PUPPY, MULTI AMCA GRAND SWEEPSTAKES winner, AKC ALL BREED MULTI GROUP WINNER and MULTI GROUP PLACER, was AMCA'S 2014 NATIONAL SPECIALTY MATURITY Winner and finished as a 2014/2015 AMCA'TOP TWENTY finalist !!  GQ has been awarded 3 Regional Specialty SELECT ribbons and he just turned 2 years old!

Ava is a wonderful breed ambassador especially at benched shows where she loves to meet and greet.  She has her AKC Canine Good Citizen title as well as her AMCA Working Team Dog and Working Weight Pull Dog Titles.

We are so proud to have our beautiful Ava here in our home and continue to look forward to many more good times with her!

Ava is always ready to greet and receive hugs from her adoring fans !!

Party girl on the go !!

Ava on the move!  If you haven't had the pleasure of seeing Ava in the show ring, you will quickly come to know who she is, as she loves to give a shout out  "WOO-HOO" to let you know she's having a good time!!

Ava thoroughly enjoys herself in the show ring.  As one judge put it, “I had to give her the win, she told me she wanted it.” “Besides if I didn’t, I was afraid she might bite me in the butt!” - Barbara Breidenback   “She looks like she could go all day pulling a heavy load!”- Thomas Feneis   ”She is phenomenal !”- Christie Smith
